Rain at the Beach
The 150-lap race at Myrtle Beach Speedway was scheduled to run on Saturday, but was postponed due to inclement weather. When the race began KC Cunningham in the number 61 car was pacing himself not to wear out his equipment. Throughout the first 50 laps KC was able to work his way from a 27th place starting spot all the way up to 14th. At the half way point KC was caught up in a huge wreck that collected several cars in turns three and four. Although the 61 racecar was a little crunched up, KC kept racing until he was involved in the next caution on lap 86, which would force his crewman to remove the hood. This caused the car to become extremely aerodynamically deficient and have a severe push. At the end of this eventful race, KC was able to bring the racecar around to the checkered flag for a 17th place finish. We are looking for individuals interested in being part of our team. We need crew members and sponsorship. Our next UARA event is scheduled for April 29th at Motor Mile, VA. The UARA Division is a touring Late Model series their events range from Florida to Virginia all the way out to Tennessee. This is one of the most well run, competitive divisions anywhere combining great drivers with great equipment. For KC Cunningham and/or sponsorship opportunities contact the Cunning hams’ at RACIN68@cox.net. |
