Aquis Night
After the previous race that the Aquis Communication #61 team had they were looking forward to this weeks race. With a strong 21 car field this was going to be another tough Saturday night at Langley Speedway for KC. All throughout practice the team was at the top of the speed charts and everyone was looking forward to a great race. KC went out to qualify and laid down an excellent lap putting him in the 4th position. Since Danny Edwards had to start in 8th for winning two races in a row, KC was moved to the 3rd position for the start of the race. As the race started the #61 stayed behind Greg Edwards for the first twenty laps and conserved the tires. After falling back to fifth, KC moved into third behind Danny Edwards and CE Falk by lap 30. KC was driving a smart race and attempting to save his tires for the end of the race. With 40 laps to go KC began to pick up his pace and was catching the 40 car on long runs. Then around lap 75 the right front tire began to lose air. After the caution came out on lap 87, with no heat buildup in the tire, the tire went down and KC had to park the Aquis Communication #61 car. “We had a great car on the long runs, this whole team works so hard and it’s just disappointing to have something like that happen. We are looking forward to the next race,” quoted KC.
